Exterior bifold doors – If you are replacing an existing door, the door system will have to match the space. Check the height and width of the space of the door with the tape to make sure it matches the size of your bifold door. Install the lower pivot bracket and that comes with your kit bifold door. Use rule level to ensure that the track remains the same distance from the edge of the wall along the entire distance.
After installing the track, place plumb the clue to where to install the bottom bracket. Install the pivots on the exterior bifold doors. After locating or drill holes, knock the pins with a hammer. Pivots should be at the top and bottom of each door where it meets the jamb and head part. Outside each door pivots will also guide. Check the manual to identify these pivots so all get put in the right place.
Place the bottom pivot in the pivot bracket. Tighten the top bolt to fit the pivot bracket on the track. Make sure the door is straight with level. Set the distance between the door and the door frame moving bottom pivot in different slots on the pivot bracket.For external use, install a small piece of molding on the exterior bifold doors.
